GOsC, BOA, M.Ost
Julia graduated from the European school of Osteopathy in Maidstone with an M.Ost in Osteopathy. She qualified with a prize for her Osteopathic Research paper. Her desire to become an osteopath grew over many years of receiving osteopathic treatment herself and her fascination for this holistic approach to treating the body.
Julia provides osteopathic treatment to a wide spectrum of patients from newborns to the elderly and also to pregnant women. She has a broadminded approach, using a combination of techniques from structural to functional, including visceral and cranial osteopathy. The use of this wide range of techniques enables Julia to adapt her treatment to each patient, taking into account the individual’s medical history and current needs. Julia has also trained in maternity and paediatric osteopathy and has a particular interest in treating babies, pregnant and postnatal women.
Julia believes that patients have a role to play in maximising the treatment of the body as a whole. Therefore, in order to help reach and maintain ‘an optimum level of health’ she also gives advice on lifestyle, gentle exercise and stretching if needed. She is also trained in the use of medical acupuncture/dry needling, which she can combine with her osteopathic treatment for the relief of stiff and painful muscles.
